Food: Easter Cupcakes --PINK SATURDAY

I made these cute Easter cupcakes last year actually, but they turned out so darling, I thought I'd re-post them. These are strawberry cupcakes with a strawberry cream frosting.

I used both my circle and round scallop punches to punch out the circles from pastel-colored card stock. Then I stamped different images in constrasting inks. The bird stamp pictured here is one of my favorites!

Some of the others had flowers etc. I don't have any Easter stamp sets, but the flowers and birds were sufficient. I stuck the punched, stamped circles on toothpicks to make my own super-cute cupcake picks.  I love cupcakes; they are so fun to decorate. This idea could be used for just about any theme; birthday, baby shower, wedding, holidays. And I just used paper and stamps that I already had in my craft closet!

I am also linking this to Pink Saturday, hosted by http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/
(Note: I WAS going to link this to Pink Saturday, but I missed the cut off date! Ha ha.....my bad. Anyway, you should still check it out!)

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Katie,

You have no idea how delicious your pink cupcakes look to me right now. I have been off sugar for about 4 weeks now trying to lose a couple of lbs.

    These look scrumptious. Great job.
