As you may have noticed, my mosaic for today is the same images I have put in my blog header. I have long been playing around with adding my own photos to my blog header, after admiring this look on many other people's blogs. I have not quite mastered the technique yet, but I am getting there.

Mosaic Monday: The Parlor

 I took some pictures of things in the parlor and then played around with the color saturation and highlights to make the pictures look more "antique". The picture of the 'hands' is a photo I took of a page in one of the music books on top of our harmonium. The tiny framed photo in the lower right corner is a picture of my father, as a baby. It was taken in October/November of 1942, when he was about 8 or 9 months old.

I used some of pictures of white items from my last two White Wednesday posts to make this collage, which I then played around with contrasts and highlights to make all the details really stand out and look sort of time-worn, slightly yellowed and old.
