I set up our little breakfast table in the kitchen for two:
My vintage tins for Sailor Girl oysters and Cracker Jack fit the color scheme and also had a similar subject matter.
The addition of a stars and stripes ribbon to the Ball jar of faux daisies that was already on the table made up the centerpiece.
Lemonade is always a perfect summer drink for a meal.
Vintage White Rock bottles (with a straw!) are perfect for serving spring water. White Rock Bottling Co was founded in our town in 1871 and was in operation for many, many years before the headquarters were moved to Whitestone, NY.
I've used Spode blue transferware, red star-shaped plates, and my Goodwill cherry plates in the plate stack.
The linen hemstitch place mats are vintage. The red paisley napkins are Ralph Lauren and purchased last year at Home Goods. My casual flatware is Oneida, "Spring Blossom".
The red star plates are appetizer plates and were a Christmas gift a few years back (I use them often at Christmas parties also).
My Spode blue transferware is from the Blue Room Collection. I have several different patterns. To see more tablescapes featuring these dishes, click HERE and HERE.
A simple napkin fold, the roll, is perfect for a casual dinner.
Our Memorial Day Dinner Menu:
Grilled Bleu Cheese and Bacon Hamburgers
Seasoned Home Fries
Red Seedless Grapes
Garlic Stuffed Green Olives
Lemonade
Berry Fool with Pound Cake

Katie, I love this sentimental table. Makes me wish we could turn back the clock and live during much simpler times. This was wonderful...one of my favorites!
