Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone out there in blogland had a wonderful holiday weekend...at least those in blogland who are in the USA, of course, and celebrating our country's Independence Day.

I did the usual holiday things; spending time with family, friends, cookouts, picnics, parades, fireworks.

I had to make sure that Le Beau Paon showcased her 4th of July spirit:

I keep telling myself I'm going to get more bunting for the front porch and I never seem to do so. I'll add it to the to-do list. It will probably be Number 3,567,900 on the list.  ;-)

I found this picture last year online somewhere; so lovely!

There also seemed to be a "fireworks" display going on in my flower gardens.

Red bee balm bursts, with pops of orange asclepsia.......

Climbing rose bush #2 has also exploded.......

It needs to be pruned a little bit, but I decided to wait until it finishes blooming.
