As the nation gears up to celebrate Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July, to celebrate the Second Continental Congress' adoption of the Declaration of Indpendence, voted in on July 4, 1776, I leave you with some pictures of Le Beau Paon dressed up for the occasion, and a small quote from Thomas Paine's
Common Sense, first published anonymously in January 1776.
Common Sense was a call to arms, an unabashed argument for war and a call for American Independence, something that had never been so boldly said in print before.
"Why is it that we hesitate?... The sun never shined on a cause of greater worth.....for God's sake, let us come to a final separation......The birthday of a new world is at hand."---Thomas Paine

Happy Fourth of July! Excellent quote - I have his little book - wish we had men of that character today leading our Country - Still I believe God is Blessing America with so many people recognizing it's history and the worth of the lives of those who sacrificed for it!
Hope you have a terrific Fourth of July!
God Bless You,
Kathy
