A Very Cherry Red & Green Tablescape

Last week I was able to visit a few tablescapes from Tablescape Thursday, and Tabletop Tuesday and I saw so many lovely fall-themed tables! I can hardly wait to do one of my own.............!

BUT....since I'm not quite ready to give up on summer just yet, I decided to do a very summery breakfast table this week, using some cute luncheon plates I bought earlier this summer at Goodwill, mixed in with some of my other dishes.

I set up this table in the kitchen, since it seemed a more casual setting. A lacy white table runner adds a fresh, summery element to the table. It reminds me of crisp eyelet sundresses or white sheets hanging on the clothesline to dry.
A round quilted light green placemat pairs nicely with my green plates from TJ Maxx. The luncheon plates with the cherries on them were from Goodwill.
'Swanky Swig' tulip glasses carry through the red and green color scheme and are perfectly sized for orange juice.

A small white jug for serving milk or juice.
The white cow creamer, another GW find, works just as well for serving syrup as it does for cream. For those who would prefer a little powdered sugar on their French toast instead of syrup, I have also set out my silver-topped vintage muffineer.

For a centerpiece, I used some faux blooms, loosely gathered; I wanted an informal look for the center arrangement, so that it looked like I had just gathered a few flowers from an obliging field moments before putting them into the vase.
A sweet red gingham checked ribbon reminds me of picnics.
My Oneida stainless flatware, 'Morning Blossom', seemed a fitting choice for this table.
There are also flowers along the top of my large Oneida crystal vase. This pattern/style was called 'Southern Garden'.
I adore these red and white paisley napkins. I found them in the clearance bin at Home Goods.

I even have the perfect vintage apron to wear when I make breakfast!
Bird's eye view.

How pretty. Love your cherry plates, they are so cute. The red and green is so pretty. The glasses with the tulips are lovely and putting the bow around the vase is so creative. Love it all. Thanks so much for linking to TTT Hugs, Marty

This is so fresh and pretty! I hate to see summer go in a way, but it has been so hot here that I guess I really am ready to see a little fall. But your tablescape is so pretty that I am thinking, Maybe one more?

i really like your precious tablescape. I receive cherry items a lot from friends because of my name. Your balance of colors is so well done. Great eye! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

This is soooooo cheerful! Love the cute plates and the color combination -- what a beautiful runner -- I also have a couple of "milk" cows -- they're great for the grandgirls and milk on their cereal. This table is precious!
