Memorial Day weekend had some very sunny, and some very hot, weather! We don't often get very nice weather for Memorial Day and we certainly never get temperatures near 90 degrees!
It was perfect for spending the day on Sunday poolside at my mom's house. I used the opportunity to snap some pictures of my niece and nephews playing in the pool and with a sprinkler, which I am sharing for Outdoor Wednesday , graciously hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer.
M and C had lots of fun with water pistols.
While J looked on...........
A bucket from Grandma's sandbox provided entertainment............
G had so much fun with the plastic watering can.....he enjoyed "watering" mommy's hand (and shirt and shorts).
My sister's Puggle, Ripley, enjoyed the day outside.....and even went for a swim in the pool too. She only has three legs, but can still dog-paddle!
B is too small for the pool or sprinkler..............
But a Pepsi bottle proved more interesting than any of his toys........
C found some pine cones and put them in the ancient Radio Flyer wagon (this was the wagon my sibs and I played with as children). He said he was" taking them for a ride."
M decided to stay in the pool (he's 5 and can actually swim), while G, C and J moved on to the sprinkler ball eventually.
G really liked to put his sand shovel over the top and block the spray.
Good thing Grandma's yard is so large...... (this is actually only a small section of it!)
There's plenty of room to run!
Trying to catch water from the sprinkler here! :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Katie:
Thanks so much for coming to visit.
I'm hosting a new meme starting Sunday and I hope you'll join in. It's called "Summer Sundays" and it's all about what summer means to YOU!
I think you could start with those pictures of your water babies!!!!

GREAT post - nothing better than little ones and summer fun! I had a friend that loaned me an Australian book once, called Water Babies, I believe. The illustrations were fabulous - you might be able to find some of them online.
It looks, as the old saying goes, that "A good time was had by all!"

Is there anything better than water play? Too cute!
Love this photos with the happy children. Too cute.
Greetings, Johanna
Adorable children...FUN sprayer ball, I've never seen that one. Simple joys are wonderful!
They're all so cute, looks like they had lots of fun at grandma's house. You have the perfect yard to have kiddo's in.
A cute collection of characters in all these shots! And that includes big-eyed Ripley too!
