Tablescape Thursday: Pink & Green Birthday Luncheon

It's time for another Tablescape Thursday! Hurry on over to Between Naps on the Porch to get your fill of gorgeous tables!

My youngest sister and my mother both have birthdays in April: the 14th and 22nd respectively. I thought I'd put together a fun, bright and girly table that would be perfect for us to celebrate their birthdays. We have a table for four today (me, my mom, and two sisters.)

Of course, I'm using my new silverware! Isn't it pretty? I love it! This was an early anniversary gift from the hubby. You can read about it HERE.
I used these pink paper napkins because I wanted to stamp 'Happy Birthday' on them.
I've used my green plates again  and these pretty bread/dessert plates that I bought in an antique mall 2 for $1.00. I bought all twelve that they had. I thought they would make great appetizer plates for parties also. I made small place cards by using an oval frame stamp and cutting it out, then adding a name in green ink.
Here's my centerpiece for the table. I bought this white-painted metal bird cage at JoAnn's on clearance in 2006. I actually first used it to go on top of our card box for our 2007 wedding.
This is what it looked like with my wedding colors and wedding flowers. I made the floral arrangement that went inside (all silk flowers of course) and added the ribbon and, of course!, a peacock.
I removed the bow and the other flowers and replaced them with these pretty silk flowers I bought at the Dollar Tree. Of course, Mr. Peacock had to stay.
Isn't he just too cute?? I wish he was real.
He even has a super-fancy sparkly tail!
I showed this hostess bowl and plate in my Valentine's Day table. At the time I didn't know the name of it, but a commenter said it's called "Rosella" by Mikasa. My stepmother gave this to me; it had belonged to her mother.
White birds on a pink depression glass plate look sweet on the table.
I'm using my good crystal glasses again; Jamestown Platinum by Mikasa.

I really love these plates. I wish I could have found a whole set! There's so many colors on here that I can use. That pink rose was what inspired me to use these with my pink and green color palette.

Here's my seat!

I just love how fancy this silverware is! And so shiny!

The place mats are Royal Doulton in their very well-known pattern, Old Country Roses.

My mini bird-cage tea light holders go well with my larger bird-cage centerpiece.

To make my bird-cage centerpiece nice and high, I set my milk glass hobnail cake pedestal on top of this pink depression glass salver.
I believe the pattern is called 'American Sweetheart'.
Top view.

Is it time for birthday cake yet???  (Strawberry Jello Poke Cake with whipped cream frosting!)

Thanks for joining me!!!

This year I am fool for pink, especially pink with some green. So Susan's little picture linky thingy got me to your blog right away! Very pretty and the cake looks yummy!
